Welcome

A Message from the President of the Majestic Miami Chapter!

We are a group of twenty-five tenacious women seeking to empower, our children ages three to nineteen, with knowledge, leadership, and a desire to make a difference by serving the community in all walks of life. The year 2020 has been quite exhausting. Our job as mothers and leaders in the community, centers around being resilient and gracefully pivoting when faced with difficult times.

Our Mothers have discovered an inner flame which has bolstered an appreciation for one’s inner self. This year, we are redirecting many of our in-person activities to a new virtual world experience. Our majestic mothers choose to accept reality and mold that reality into something better for our children. Our path to greatness is filled with certain values and expectations that we gently infuse into our children. Our children’s cup overflows with blessings of goodness and knowledge. At the same time, we teach them to share with others their blessings and pay it forward. Our Mothers and Fathers serve as leaders in the community.

We are educators, county administrators, nurses physicians, lawyers, realtors, entrepreneurs, artists, pastors, accountants, health care administrators, athletes, chief enforcement officers, mayors, architects, law enforcement officers, chefs, actors & actresses, authors, performers and the list keeps growing. Our chapter is majestic at all levels.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Health and Wellness – Why It Matters?

  • 26% of African Americans receive federal benefits (S.N.A.P.) to prevent malnutrition and hunger in children, yet there are 5 million African American children that live in food deserts.

  • 19% of African American lives without adequate health care insurance

  • African Americans spend a higher percentage of their income on health care costs compared to their white counterparts (16.5% vs. 12.2%)

  • African Americans face health care disparities; 48% suffer from a chronic disease versus 39% of the general population
